Trio d'Anches

The Trio d’Anches, or reed trio, is a distinctive chamber ensemble celebrated for its rich tonal colors and expressive range. Its sound is shaped by the interplay of the oboe’s bright, lyrical voice, the clarinet’s smooth versatility, and the bassoon’s warm, resonant depth.

The ensemble inspired many French composers, including members of Les Six, who contributed important works to the repertoire.

 

Programs span a wide and engaging range of music, from the sparkling wit of Martinů and Françaix to masterworks by Mozart,

Beethoven, and Gershwin.
