From humble beginnings (a haphazard recreational night of singing in a practice room of New England Conservatory in Boston MA), Renaissance Men has emerged as one of the most exciting and vital professional male vocal chamber ensembles in America, having been called the “East Coast answer to Chanticleer” [Cinemusical]. Colloquially known as “RenMen,” the ensemble has grown by leaps and bounds over five years — fifteen rostered musicians, eight mainstage concert series, a growing national tour schedule, numerous collaborations with regional arts organizations (including a presentation of music from the British Isles and Ireland called RenMen On This Island as part of the Emmanuel Music Late Night Series), development of educational opportunities, and now an international profile. RenMen’s debut album, RENMEN LAMENTS, released in 2019, has now been heard in over eighty countries worldwide.
